If I want to know what I’ll be like in twenty-something
years, all I have to do is look at my mom.
I am the spitting image of her – or so everyone who sees us together says (aside
of course from our hair color, ha!). With my mom I have talked, cried and
laughed more than I ever have with any other person. Sometimes I think with a
bottle of wine and enough time we actually could
solve the majority of the world’s major problems.
Today is my mom’s birthday and today I
am so thankful that I have her for my mom, that we have such a wonderful
friendship and that we have shared so much over the years!! I am thankful to
have had such a wonderful example of a devoted wife and a loving mother.
From my mom I have learned that: *it is always
better to be gracious than right*, that *people won’t always remember the words
you used but the feeling you gave them*, and that *a true lady is always
graceful*.
