So What Wednesday

Today I am linking up with Shannon over at Life After I Dew for “So What Wednesday”!
This week I'm saying:
So what if… I love chocolate milk and I’m 30-something-years old! It is such a deliciously wonderful treat. I love to pour a glass in the afternoons – it’s a great snack!

So what if… I’m 25 weeks pregnant but look, oh I don’t know, 17 or 18 weeks pregnant. Everyone I talk to, everyone I talk to, comments on how little I am. This got me so worried that I asked the doctor if I was normal! It’s my first baby so of course from day one I wanted to “look pregnant”. When everyone tells me I don’t look as far along as I am – and as far along as I feel! – I start to get self conscious… He assured me that I am totally normal and measuring right where I should be.

So what if… I have three pairs of work out shoes. CrossFit isn’t pretty so your shoes have to be! I have two pairs of New Balance Minimus and one pair of Inno8 230’s. I never thought I’d have three pairs of workout shoes going strong at once – usually I have a good pair and an old pair. But I like having three in the same category! It makes getting dressed for a grueling workout fun!

So what if… I’m secretly not liking this unusually warm “winter” weather we are having. I actually love all seasons so I feel like we’re not getting our fair share of winter. Without winter we miss fires in the fireplace, hats and mittens to go outside, snow boots, seat warmers, flannel pajamas on lazy Sunday mornings… I love spring but I don’t like it creeping in and stealing my winter!

So what if… I absolutely cannot seem to be able to pronounce the correct names of baby products when my husband and I are shopping.  Britax is pronounced Br-Y-tax and Chicco is pronounced KEY-co. Umm, well then they should consider spelling them how they sound! My husband did tell me he thought it was cute that I had my own way of saying the names when we were in the store talking to the salesperson!

Well, that’s all I’ve got for this week’s “So What Wednesday”! What are you saying SO WHAT! to this week?

  1. I had no clue I didn't know how to pronounce those products! Who would know that? I guess I don't own either brand right now either.

I'm secretly worried that this mild winter is going to result in a very hot early summer. Being preggo- I'm dreading it. In Ohio, we got plenty of cold- more mild than usual, not so mild I'm begging for more winter :-)

    1. I know right? Who can tell how to say half the names out there?! Yes, I'm concerned it might be a hot summer too :( My baby is due in June so I'll miss being preggo during the really hot days BUT that will make it harder to work out and get my body back in those hot summer days!! I don't need extra excuses!!

  2. Oh my gosh, I did not know how to pronounce those either!!! Lol! I probably sound crazy.

Don't worry about not being big enough... I get that all the time too. Especially with my first. It seemed like every where I went strangers would ask how far along I was and then get a weird look and say 'you're not that big'. Uh ok? My baby was healthy and so is this one :) That's all that matters.

    1. I sounded like a complete idiot I am sure. It was funny after the fact when I realized that my husband and the sales person kept saying them correctly and I never even picked up on it!!

Oh I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one! I was feeling like something was wrong! But you're right a healthy baby is all that matters!

  3. And what about Baby Bjorn?! What is that? I'm still not clear on how to pronounce that one.
And don't worry about having a small belly, I was the same way, especially with my first pregnancy. My belly was small, the rest of me...not so small. Everyone is different, but the important thing is that your baby is growing and healthy.

    1. Baby Bjorn is another one! And how about the pump you told me about?! We saw that today when we were working on our registry - impossible to pronounce! You're right, you had a little bitty belly too... and then you had a sweet little bitty baby :)

Comments make me smile :)
