The New Year

Even though we are more than half way through the month of January it still feels like the first day of the New Year around the Snowden household!

Here's how our new year has kicked off so far:
  • We returned home from a post-Christmas Christmas celebration with our families to a completely snow covered Kansas just before midnight on Sunday, January 5th.
  • Our first week home was filled with unpacking suitcases, laundry, taking down Christmas decorations, laundry, vacuuming pine needles, laundry, finding more pine needles, paying the dog sitter, attending doctors appointments, and more laundry.
  • Oh and all three of us got sick! Fortunately Parker had the shortest sickness out of the three of us so I am very thankful for that.
  • Parker and I started in baby music class which was a blast! Parker was so cute "dancing" and playing his little musical instrument!
  • We also started a new playgroup and made some changes to Parker's physical therapy sessions.
A busy start to the new year for sure. Of course we could have used a little teeny bit of down time between our trip "home" for Christmas and hitting the ground running with this busy January. But now that the new year is in full swing, and we finally caught up on laundry, I am so excited about what's ahead for our family!

It's going to be fun finishing up the next 5 months of our life in Kansas, welcoming a new addition to our family, and preparing to pick up our life and move once again!

So I suppose there is no time like nearly the end of January to say let the New Year begin!

  1. What music classes do you have Parker in? I want to find some here for Connor because the little fella loves music! Not to mention, he has some pretty sweet dance moves.
I love that you are blogging more! Catching up with you has been the most fun.
